Cleestangate Gundogs
Working Cocker Spaniels
At Cleestangate Gundogs we aim to produce dual purpose Cocker Spaniels for the field and family life.
All of our Dogs are registered with the Kennel Club and are extensively health tested through the British Veterinary Association health schemes and DNA tested for hereditary conditions. Their pedigrees include multiple Field Trial Champions producing Spaniels with outstanding temperaments and trainability. Each litter is carefully planned with selected genetics and bloodlines to produce top quality dogs for the future. For more information please feel free to get in touch.l

Field Trial Champion Cleestangates
Charmin Cassie
Field Trial Champion Cassie is a seriously hard hunting bitch that takes on all cover. After winning at Novice level Cassie went straight out and won her first ever Open Trial qualifying her for the 2020 90th Cocker Spaniel Championships. Unfortunately the following year's season was put on hold due to the Covid Pandemic. However when we were back trialing she was off to a flying start. In her second trial of the season we managed to win a run off for first place against the Queen's dog Wolferton Drama run by Ian Openshaw. Drama later went on to come 2nd in the Irish Championships and 1st the the British Championships.

Field Trial Champion Breckmarsh
Larson of Cleestangate
Toots has been a pleasure to work with, she's a very hard hunting bitch with tremendous style and pace. We were delighted to make her up to a Field Trial Champion in 2023, gaining two firsts and a Guns Choice award in two consecutive Open Qualifiers. Qualifying her for the kennel club Championships 2023 at Emblehope. Unfortunately she came in season and was unable to compete. She has a very nice pedigree with 3 championship winners, Kiltonbeck Rollo, Dandrew Druid and two time Championship Winner Brook Furlong of Tiptopjack.
We are very excited to see what she produces in the future.

FTW/OFTAW Gala Girl of Cleestangate
Molly was my first Cocker Spaniel who proved to be a fantastic bitch with wonderful natural ability. She has a very good pedigree and her full sister is Great Britain Field Trial Champion and Championship winner Abiann Flawless.
Molly was my first trialing dog and served me very well, winning her 3rd novice trial and getting open awards the following season. She is now fully retired.

Cleestangates Miraclemaker
Cleestangates Miraclemaker, known as Missy is a beautiful stamp of a bitch with a lovely action. She is very biddable and easy to train. She is homebred out of FTCH Cleestangates Charmin Cassie, and her Sire is Ftch Bishwell Barcud. Missy is Heredity clear with her health tests.
Below is a picture of Missy and her mother Cassie, who are both fantastic members of our picking up team during the shooting season.

Cleestangate Money Penny
Penny has been a pleasure to train, she's strong with plenty of pace and an extremely good marker with natural gun sense. Her Sire is Field Trial Champion Endowood Cork and her Dam is our homebred Field Trial Champion Charmin Cassie. Penny lives in the house and is very calm to be around.
In Penny's first trial she came second after a run off for first place, she has only run in two trials to date, we are looking forward to getting back out with her next season.
Penny is Heredity clear with her health tests.

Cleestangate's Rapid Wren
Wren is one of our young girls coming through. She is Toot's daughter, FTCH Breckmarsh Larsen of Cleestangate x FTCH Mallowdale Rocky of Poolgreen.
She is a really good fun little dog to have around, she hunts like a demon, with her nose down with pace and style, but equally has a brilliant off switch to relax and enjoy family life.
Wren is Heredity clear with her health tests.
